  •  Have you ever experienced buying products online?

  • Frequency of use?

  • Have you used it to purchase products for your child?

  • What type of device or platform?

FIRST IMPRESSIONS

  • What are you seeing?

  • Is there anything that stands out to you?

  • Is there anything you would like to tap/click on?

TASK SCENARIOS

  • You have a 10 month old boy. You see that your child is outgrowing his stroller and you want to buy something new but you don’t want to spend a lot of money for that because you know he needs it for only 2 month and then you'll need a new one.

Usability Testing Results

Task

Users were asked to

  • Contact seller about a stroller

  • Upload their own item

Success Rate

  • 5/5 users succeeded in signing up process

  • 4/5 users succeeded to contact the seller on their first try

  • 2/5 users succeeded  to upload an item including all the fields and an image

Description of Findings

  • Users were confused regarding their personal page, what are the items there? Is this the product they watched? That they buy?

  • When uploading an item, it was not clear how they upload an image.

  • I would like to know who is the person this product belong to

  • I need to manage my friend's list

Analysis

  • The + icon in the `add new item` page is unclear

  • The user wants to see their history of conversations and products they saw in order to not contact the same seller again about the same product

  • It is important to focus on community features

Recommendations

Design add Image option differently- clearer as a call to action, add History icon to manage pat purchases, create people icons on the products to mark relation between product seller and item

PROTOTYPING

Home page.jpeg

"Where are the things I saw or bought?”

Users were missing History feature.

In addition- it was important to them to understand who is the seller, how well they know him. Therefore, I added an avatar icon to help them identify the seller easily.

On each item there is its rating that connects to Google reviews to get the product brand review.

Friend page.jpeg

"I want to be able to manage my friend lists"

This wireflow represents the user friend’s page. This app is about connecting people that can give each other their baby’s products they don’t use anymore.

Here, you can see the user's friends page add a new friend to their list or manage his groups. In order to expand their circle of people they know and can get baby gear. This feature will allow them to contact friends of friends who they still can trust but does not have a direct connection to.

Add new Item.jpeg

"How do I upload an image of the new item?"

Add a new item got a new look- Add new image were created as a call to action button, fields were smaller and got a smoother look.

SUMMARY

I was asked to build a second-hand baby gear app.

I conducted interviews where I found that people gets their baby gear from family or friends.

This made their house full with unnecessary products and they waste a lot of time in order to sort what they needs and what the don'ts.

Therefor, I decided to create this app with important features that will ease the experience such as:

  • Filters for accurate results

  • Chat to contact the seller to get more information about the products or buy it

  • Review section that connects to google reviews to learn about the brand

  • Smart friend menus to control seller identity
